The National Museum of Scotland

The place that I would like to visit while in Edinburgh is the National Museum of Scotland. I love to see new museums and displays. The images under google make it seem pretty appealing. I also wanted to do something that will take up most of the day and not get bored after an hour of being there. The hours of operation are from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. On the website, it says the admission is free, but donations are welcome! It is only an 8 minute walk from where we are lodging. So, that is really convenient.

During my multiple web searches for what to do while in Edinburgh, I found it kind of difficult to make up my mind. There is a lot of beautiful landscapes, gardens, and castles, but I wanted to switch things up a tad. I wanted to pick something that would allow my imagination to roam free while looking at interesting discoveries. While doing some research, I found that this Victorian building had a 47.4 million pound renovation, and reopened on July 29, 2011. I am very excited to be able to have the opportunity to visit this eye catcher.
